A LOOK INSIDE
We are very excited to tell you about Fruktovaya Lavka (Fruit Shop) – a chain of sensational, modern, market-style, cafe' restaurants here in the great city of St Petersburg! We'll begin by taking you to the one located on gorgeous Vasilievsky Island just across the Neva River or you can go to the other one on the glitzy Bolshaya Konnushnaya Street near the Hermitage.
Situated with a view of a lovely pedestrian street, the moment you step inside the door, you'll be treated to a stunning display of premium quality, exotic, fresh fruit and vegetables from around the world.
Tomatoes from Azerbaijan, watermelon from Italy, onions from Crimea, melons from Spain, along with assorted cookies, nuts and other beautifully-packaged, imported healthy products. The light, spacious interior welcomes you in and invites you to browse an outstanding exhibition of fresh produce available at the market, but the delightful surprise is that the well decorated cafe' restaurant on the 2nd floor uses these same fresh products to prepare their exquisite food.
Not only do we find this establishment unique and affordable, we would say it's beyond one-of-a-kind!☺
THE EXPERIENCE
The lovely décor at Fruktovaya Lavka's vibrant cafe is second only to the exceptional offerings on the menu. Russian-European dishes prepared with fresh, mildly seasoned ingredients create a health-conscious approach to dining, along with flavors that are distinct and savory.
We are also impressed by the array of choices, from vegetarian selections to traditional beef stroganoff, and found the chicken breast, vegetables and blackberry cake so delicious, we ate down to the last crumb!
Choose from mouthwatering smoothies of fresh berries and bananas, wonderful pastas, rice dishes, biscuits, honey, pumpkin soup with ginger, vinaigrette salads, chanterelle mushrooms with fried potatoes and onions, cod with carrots and zucchini in tomato cream sauce and tea with apple and cinnamon.
Finish with a bowl of mixed berries and mascarpone cream in raspberry sauce and you're in heaven! A fine selection of alcohol, prompt and helpful service and all very reasonably priced! While the downstairs market offers a stunning visual feast, the restaurant above can truly be described in one word – unforgettable!
At Fruktovaya Lavka, you will not only enjoy a delicious meal, but a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. And whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover, there's no doubt that this charming Russian cafe restaurant will satisfy your palate and make you want to return time and time again.

PRICE RANGE: $$ - From $16/12€ to $27/20€ per person for a full meal, including one drink (from $4/3€ to $8/6€ just for breakfast).

KNOWN FAVORITES: Roast beef salad, fresh vegetables salad, pumpkin cream-soup with ginger, risotto with mango and avocado, chicken breast with herbs and vegetables, ribeye steak, cake “Potato”, dessert from chef with fresh raspberries, great bilberry and blackberries, freshly squeezed juices and much more.
OUR FAVORITE DISH: Risotto with mango and avocado and a fresh squeezed juice.
OUTSTANDING POINTS: Close to the Cathedral of St. Andrew the First Called and the Neva River if you go to Fruktovaya Lavka cafe on Vasilievsky Island. Ten minutes walking distance from the famous Hermitage, Palace Square and Nevsky Prospect if you go to the fruit shop and cafe' located on Admiralty side, in the heart of the city.
GOOD FOR: Vegetarians, a Quick Bite, Solo Travellers, Couples and Friends.
