General headquarters building in St. Petersburg, Russia

Will be in St. Petersburg in June and would like to tour the impressionsts art which is housed in the general staff (Headquarters) building. Need to know if there are railings to use when climbing the stairs? also are there any elevators as I understand that the art is on the 4th floor.

The General Staff Building, is one of the most famous architectural monuments in Saint Petersburg, so I am sure you will enjoy your visit there. Concerning your question I know that there are railings because I've been there once, a few years ago. However, I don't reckon if there is a lift inside. Personally speaking I don't think there is one as per all other museums. In the event you need a tour guide for your visit to Russia's Northern Capital let me know.
